Defense Ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey discussed issues of military cooperation development


Defense Ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey Zakir Hasanov and Hulusi Akar discussed cooperation in the military sphere and regional security during the talks held in Baku.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, Hasanov emphasized the importance of expanding the work carried out in the direction of further development of bilateral military cooperation. Akar, for his part, noted that the “strategic alliance is based on friendly and brotherly relations” between Baku and Ankara.

The head of the Turkish Defense Ministry arrived in Azerbaijan during the large-scale joint military exercises. His delegation includes the chief of the general staff of Turkey, the commander of the ground forces, the commanders of the Turkish navy and air force.
