At the Hilton hotel in Batumi, there is a physical confrontation between representatives of the United National Movement and law enforcement officers. Law enforcement officers detained several persons from the National Movement. They were taken to the police station.
Members of the National Movement say that the government of the Georgian Dream is a “rapist and murderer.”
Opposition members say they are holding a peaceful rally and they have specific questions for Georgian Dream chairman Irakli Kobikhidze.
“All those responsible for the death of Nugzar Putkaradze will be punished. The case is on the shelf. The time will soon come when all questions will be answered and those responsible will be punished, including Irakli Kobakhidze,” said Giorgi Kirtadze, a member of the National Movement.
In addition, an ambulance arrived at the Hilton Hotel. Nazi Putkaradze, a member of the National Movement, felt unwell. She is receiving medical attention on the spot.
