In Georgia, dissatisfaction continues in connection with the influx of Russian citizens against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine. Residents of the country are privately protesting what is happening in Ukraine and reminding foreign guests that the Russian Federation occupies 20% of the territory of Georgia.
A video has circulated on the social network Facebook of two young people walking past a cafe in Batumi where Russians are sitting and turning on an audio recording explaining their position.
“Russia is an occupier. You are in a country from which 20% has been occupied. We’re not happy to see you. We will not meet you with a smile on our face. We don’t trust you. We are not sure that your country will not break into Sakartvelo to protect you,” the voice broadcasts.
