The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has started at the Kremlin.
“Our relations are developing positively, as we noted during the official visit to Azerbaijan. The trade turnover amounts to $4.3 billion, and our direct investments in Azerbaijan’s economy exceed $4 billion. There are very good, interesting projects in both the energy sector and infrastructure development, and all of them are promising. These are all real, active projects—both bilateral and multilateral,” Putin said at the beginning of the meeting.
Aliyev also noted the positive dynamics in bilateral relations. According to him, this meeting provides a good opportunity to once again address issues on the bilateral agenda.
