Billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk hit the campaign trail for Donald Trump in in Pennsylvania on Thursday (October 17), mobilizing Trump voters ahead of Election Day on Nov. 5, Reuters reports.
“The reason that I’m here in person is because Pennsylvania is so important to the future of the world. So, you know you show what matters by your actions, not your words. And my actions are, I’m here, I’m in Pennsylvania,” Musk told the rally.
“I can’t emphasize enough that Pennsylvania is, I think, the linchpin in this election and this election, I think is going to decide the fate of America. And along with the fate of America, the fate of Western civilization,” added Musk.
Musk, who has donated nearly $75 million to Trump-aligned groups, also addressed the war in the Middle East.
“What’s happening there is people are being taught to hate, you know, in Gaza from when they’re children, they’re taught to hate. And that’s really the thing that that needs to stop for there to be, you know, long term peace hopefully,” added Musk.
Musk, who has said he has voted for Democratic presidential candidates in the past, has taken a sharp turn to the right this election. He endorsed Trump in July and appeared with him at a rally in Pennsylvania earlier this month.
On Wednesday (October 16), Musk said in a post on X that he will be “giving a series of talks” throughout Pennsylvania, less than two weeks after his appearance with Trump in the state.
