Russian President Vladimir Putin held a bilateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the opening day of the BRICS summit in Kazan.
“Russian-Indian relations have the character of a particularly privileged strategic partnership and continue to actively develop,” Putin told Modi in his welcoming speech.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in turn, expressed willingness to help resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict peacefully. “New Delhi is ready to play any role to support peace and stability”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.
