Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi spoke at the annual Manama Discussions event of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, which ended in Bahrain, and addressed the situation in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank of the Jordan River.
The foreign minister asked if Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip are explained as a response to Hamas attacks, how to explain the operations in the West Bank, during which 200 Palestinians were killed.
According to the foreign minister, Jewish settlers attack Palestinians every day, and the Armenian community of Jerusalem, which has nothing to do with Hamas, is also the target of these attacks.
“The presence of Armenians in that city has been under threat for centuries, and the police calmly watch how Jewish settlers attack Armenians with dogs,” said Ayman Safadi.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs asked the audience whether this is also a fight against Hamas. He called for a spate of spades and an immediate end to this war.
