Azerbaijan increases defense budget by over half billion dollars

The Azerbaijani government is increasing the defense and national security expenditures by 1.105 billion manats ($650 million), including spending on special defense projects and measures by 1 billion manats ($0.59 billion), the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry reports.   After the increase, the spending on special defense projects and measures will reach 3.07 billion manats ($1.22 billion).
