The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the elite unit of the Iranian Armed Forces, has found the pilot of the downed American F-35 fighter jet during a search operation and arrested him, NourNews reports.
According to the news agency, footage from the pilot’s seat of the fighter jet was previously deliberately published to mislead the Americans.
The F-35 fighter jet was shot down on Friday morning in the skies over the central regions of the Islamic republic, the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces had reported.
