Mass rallies were held in Tehran and other Iranian cities. According to local media, people celebrated the victory over Israel and expressed support for the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces.
President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the Iranian people in a message:
“The enemy suffered a severe and historic punishment. Thanks to the heroic resistance of our people, we witnessed the end of the 12-day war unleashed by the Zionist regime. History will not forget the betrayal and violation of agreements by Iran’s enemies against the backdrop of negotiations with the United States. The aggressor failed to achieve its goals, namely the destruction of our nuclear facilities and the spread of chaos,” the Iranian President noted.
Pezeshkian also had a telephone conversation with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, assuring that Tehran is ready to resolve the existing issues with Washington in accordance with international norms.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also stated that they will not abandon their nuclear program, as they have made serious efforts in this direction, suffered many casualties, and resisted sanctions.
“Iran’s program is transparent and has been under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency,” Abbas Araghchi added.
