French President Emmanuel Macron has held a phone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Macron posted on his social media account.
“I have just spoken with the President of Kazakhstan. Following my visit to Kazakhstan in November 2023 and President Tokayev’s state visit to France in November last year, we discussed strengthening our strategic partnership, particularly in the fields of transport and energy,” the French President said.
According to him, the international situation was also in focus during the phone call:
“We discussed Russia’s war in Ukraine and the ongoing negotiations in the South Caucasus,” Macron added.
