Israel must pay 0 billion for destruction in Gaza: Erdogan

The global system is experiencing a deep crisis and is in urgent need of reforms; the UN has lost both its credibility and its ability to fulfill its mission, while mechanisms created after the Second World War have been paralyzed. This was stated by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the ‘Bosphorus Summit’.

“Competition among powers is intensifying. Uncertainty and instability are growing. We are facing new challenges—climate, water, trade wars, energy, and food chains. Crises that cannot be resolved peacefully are moving into conflict zones and giving rise to new tragedies,” the Turkish President said.

Referring to the events in Gaza, Erdoğan stated that Benjamin Netanyahu and his office must stand trial.

“For the destruction in Gaza, Israel must pay $100 billion,” Erdoğan declared. He added that Turkey’s trade and political measures should serve as an example for other countries, otherwise the war will spread beyond the region’s borders.

Erdoğan also stressed that Turkey cannot remain indifferent to the suffering of neighboring peoples.
